Divanshu
Hey there,
I am Divanshu Garg, sophomore at Delhi Technological University (Jan '23).
In my first year, I started working on my web-development and DSA problem solving skills. I learned web-development from Angela Yu's course. Then i moved to Youtube and started learning and making projects. In the mean time, I got engaged with different projects as well like:-
Things where I wished I could have done in a better way:-
First year, was really good but I do think that I should have taken few things at a time, instead of taking and learning several things all at once, like
The major issue I faced was that though tutorials on internet, are good but also a gateway to "Tutorial Hell".
You may find yourself being a part of a tutorial, where instructor is trying his best to make you understand each and every bit of CSS, HTML, JS, but you need to understand that a basic understanding can be grasped within 1 or 2 hour. Many instructors tend to tell you that some project on Jquery, or maybe a simpler tic-tac-toe game is necessary or good for understanding the "Know-how", but i will argue that making such basic projects are not necessary and one can simply understand the fucntioning and necessities of basic languages and frameworks and then move forward to create projects by following some tutorials. These projects should be different from the earlier mentioned ones, as these projects should be industry relevant like creating a Blog app, E-commerce store etc.
I now tend to think that best way to learn is to think of creating a project by keeping in mind that once I learn these technologies, I should be able to take up Freelance projects and Internship at some startups.Hey there, I am the creator of this Blog app. Feel free to connect with me.
